Herstmonceux is a stunning brickbuilt castle in Hailsham, Sussex. surrounded by a moat this beautiful building is set in acres of parkland and also has wonderful Elizabethan gardens. Designed as a country home rather than a defensive structure in the mid 15thcentury, Herstmonceux is a classic Medieval historical castle.
The grounds are open to visit although the castle can be viewed by organised guided tours only.
